Subscriptions

Subs (or Membership Subscriptions) are due during the first weeks of each term - currently at:

Beavers = £27.   Cubs = £30.    Scouts = £33 per young person, each term.

'Subs' can still be paid to the Scout, Cub or Beaver Leader by “cash”  (in a sealed envelope with child(ren)’s name) or by cheque (pay to: 3rd Bramshill Scout Group) – please write child(ren)’s name on the back of the cheque.

Approximately half of the 'membership subscription' is passed on to the District, which in turn helps to fund the 'County Scout Headquarters', the 'Scout Headquarters' at Gilwell, and insurance. The other half of the subs is retained by the group to go towards costs of badges and equipment. The major costs of the utility bills and the maintenance of the Scout Hall is actually met by fund raising by the 'committee' and the letting of the hall.

In order to keep the 'subs' relatively low (current rates are about £2 / week for each Beaver, rising to £2-50 / week for each Scout), the 'committee' need parents, carers, family members and others to support the fund raising efforts and help with activities and assist with hall maintenance.
