Squirrels
We’ve opened a new provision for four to six year olds called 'Squirrels', to help young people gain skills for life at a time when it matters most and where it's most needed.
Every week, Squirrels will gather in their Drey to grow and learn their way through lots of different games and activities.
Squirrels can achieve anything they set their minds to – and they have lots of fun along the way.
The one hour sessions will be a brilliant opportunity for young people to take their first step into being part of Scouts, and they’ll help everyone get ready for the adventure of school too.
Sessions will be packed with outdoors activities, fun, games, badges, laughter, and so much more to help our youngest members learn the skills they need for life. Of course, none of it would be possible without the support of the amazing leaders who plan and deliver such an inspiring programme.
When you join Squirrels, you’ll be introduced to lots of new activities, people and fun things.

What Squirrels wear
Squirrels uniform consists of a red sweatshirt with your badges sewn on and a coloured scarf or 'necker’ to represent our group..
There are lots of other optional accessories you can wear such as hats, hoodies, navy blue trousers or shorts, if you’d like to

Squirrel volunteers
All of our leaders are trained volunteers, working to make sure Scouts is safe and open to all.
Some volunteer at the Drey week in and week out. Others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills.
No matter how much time you have to spare, find out about volunteering on your own terms.
Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers….everyone is welcome here. Every week, we help children aged 4-18 from Yateley and surrounding areas develop skills for life in a safe and fun environment. Children are encouraged to always ‘do their best’, learn new skills, helping others, building confidence whilst learning, playing and working together in their ‘packs’ and in their community.
